Ever since Justice League was a bit of a bomb, the DC Cinematic Universe has been on thin ice. After the surprise success of Wonder Woman, it seemed like Warner Brothers had finally got the formula right but, sadly, it was soon put on dodgy ground again by another failure. But will the next movie be the turning point? Directed by James Wan, the Aquaman movie looks ready to redeem both the DC Cinematic Universe and a much-beleaguered character who has, for the last few years, always been seen as the butt of the joke.

Ever since the 1960’s Super Friends cartoon, Aquaman has been treated as a bit of a joke character, powers that aren’t as good as Superman’s, less interesting than Batman and Wonder Woman, surprisingly his appearance in the Justice League movie was enough to make him look cool in the eyes of the audience. This was enough to inspire his own movie, where Aquaman must return to his mother’s home of Atlantis and face his half-brother, Orm, in a duel to decide the fate of both the seas and the surface. Along the way he is aided by the mysterious Mera and chased by the chilling Black Manta as he moves towards his inevitable confrontation to decide the King of the Seas.

The first release of the game, Gravity Rush (known in Japan is Gravity Daze) is an action-adventure game published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by SCE Japan Studio as well as Project Siren. Development of the game started in 2008 for PS3 before eventually being moved across to PS Vita and then PS4.

The core of the game revolves around an open world which allows players to manipulate gravity, allowing for specialized navigation and movements.

The story in the first game revolves around the character Kat, who awakens in a floating city called Hekseville, next to an enigmatic cat she names Dusty. While rescuing a young boy from being carried away in a gravity storm, Kat realizes that Dusty the cat has the capability to manipulate how she is affected by gravity and this helps her in assisting people to fight against mythical creatures spawned from the Nevi Storms. With the help of Dusty, Kat saves a police officer called Syd, and thereafter she is named a Shifter by the citizens of Hekseville.

Gravity Rush 2

Gravity Rush 2 was released January 2017 and it’s as much fun as Visa slots, only without the chance to win real money!. The second game expands the gravity controlling mechanics from Gravity Rush. Players have the option to select a gravity style from 3 options – the original from Gravity Rush, and an additional 2 styles, Lunar and Jupiter. Gravity Rush 2 has triple the number of missions than Gravity 1, and the game is anything from, 20 to 40 hours in duration. The map in Gravity Rush 2 is at least 2 and a half time bigger than the map in the previous version.

Plot

The story of Gravity Rush 2 starts when Kat and her mysterious cat Syd make their arrival in Banga Village. On arrival, they make friends with a girl called Cecie, who has also arrived under strange happenings. They work to mine Gravity Ore and then travel to places where they can sell it to traders including the trader with no morals Vovo Sun. When they realize Vovo Sun is trying to short-change the village, they move on, to the floating City of Jirga Para Lhao, On arrival there they realise that the city’s’ elite are oppressing the poor through military intimidation.

From there on out the story is divided into 3 main sections. The first chapter sees the heroine Kat fighting for the working classes of the city who are living in a state of social inequality. The second chapter picks up on the storyline from the Gravity Rush 1, and the final chapter takes a look at Kat’s past.

Gravity Rush 2 is a super fun, lovely to look at game that expands on the first version and continues to enchant fans the world across.

Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games, which was first introduced in October of 2003. The game was initially developed for Windows, but soon expanded to include Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Its popularity was more or less instantaneous, and it currently holds the position of fifth most popular video game ever.

Call of Duty WWII

Call of Duty WWII is the fourteenth installment in the series, and the first game to be set in the Second World War since the 2008 version of the game, Call of Duty, World at War. The last 8 games in the series have featured modern day warfare, or futuristic sci-fi conflicts. This version of Call of Duty returns to its original roots and much like Canadian mobile casinos it’s set to be a smash hit from day one.

The developers of the game have seemed to have paid their respects to the real-life soldiers who fought in World War II, and have made the series as realistic to the real-life horrors of the Second World War as possible. Except of course the Zombie Nazis, who make their comeback in this instalment.

Setting for the Game

The game is set in what is known as the European Theatre of World War II. This was a large area of particularly dense fighting which spanned across Europe from the invasion of Poland by Germany and the Soviet Union.

The game revolves around a 1st Inventory Division squad, and follows their battles across the Western Front. There are multiplayer levels which take players to different fronts not seen in the main campaign, and Zombies mode also makes a comeback.

Features of the Game

Call of Duty WWII differs from the last 3 versions of the game in that it removes the movement system that was available before, and instead sticks to the more traditional method of gameplay.

Unlike the last 2 versions of the game, it does not feature a sprint movement, opting instead for a slide movement, which allows players to quickly slide onto the ground. There is also a movement feature which allows plays to throw themselves forward and hit the ground in order to achieve emergency cover.

Health Regeneration

Call of Duty World War II is the first version of the game since the original Call of Duty that does not offer health regeneration. Players must get their health packs from medic teammates, and likewise must get their ammunition from other team mates as well. The difficulty setting has also been removed from the campaign as all players are automatically placed into “hardcore mode’.

Multiplayer Mode

In multiplayer mode, players are assigned at random to a side – either Allied or Axis. The Call of Duty World War II multiplayer mode features divisions unlike the create a class-systems of previous versions of the game. Each division features its specific training, weapon skills and ammunition.

Social Aspect

Call of Duty World War II features a large social hub, where players can interact with one another. They can practice their shooting skills, engage in practice fights and watch other players open loot boxes. The hub is set on the Omaha Beach in Normandy.

Preview

Call of Duty fans who pre-order World War II, will be invited to participate in a closed beta initially only for PlayStation 4 users on 25th – 28th August 2017, and then later for Xbox users 1st – 4th September 2017.

Sledgehammer Games have returned to their roots and seemingly released a classic version of this well-loved game.

Despite the threat from digital comic books and online comics, traditional print comic books are still thriving. CNBC reports that sales of print comic books grew to an estimated $835 million in 2014 from about $675 million in 2009. That’s a very healthy increase.

Here’s a cool story about Cleveland Browns running back Fozzy Whittaker who is definitely a serious Captain America fanboy.

University of Texas football coach Mack Brown chuckles at the memory of his starting tailback Fozzy Whittaker ambling across campus with a Captain America backpack strapped across his shoulders.
